We Provide free, reliable and culturally appropriate information, peer telephone support, advocacy and referral services in matters relating to sexuality and sexual health, to empower individuals to make informed decisions in these areas of their lives
The Gay and Lesbian Community Services of South Australia (GLCS SA) has been providing support, information and resources to the South Australian community for the past 35 years. We are a non-profit, community based organisation, financed primarily through fund-raising, donations, memberships and grants.
Gay and Lesbian Community Services of South Australia Inc will:
- Provide free, reliable and culturally appropriate information, peer telephone support, advocacy and referral services in matters relating to sexuality and sexual health, to empower individuals to make informed decisions in these areas of their lives.
- Foster community based activities to enhance the growth, and self-determination of the GLBT communities.
We provide
-Telephone peer support seven nights a week, and on weekend afternoons.
-Information on community events, venues and groups.
-Referrals to community and professional services, such as legal and medical agencies.
-Gay and lesbian community library service.
-Community development initiatives.
-Training for peer telephone support volunteers
